Private Thompson was a Machine Gunner for the 24th IR, 25th ID "Buffalo Soldiers" during the Korean War.  While manning his MG during an attack by the enemy, PFC Thompson was seriously wounded while providing cover  for his comrades.  He died 2 weeks later, and was later awarded the Medal of Honor posthumously.

This is my feeble attempt this was to honor this brave man who gave his life for his comrades and his Country.  The base figure is a DML "Lucas" figure with a DID HBT pattern uniform and DID boots.  The MG is from DML and the accessories are from various figures.

I hope you enjoyed my little tribute to a fallen hero.
