This figure represents a
basic, full gear Russian Infantryman from 1942, around the time of the Battle for Stalingrad. During this epic battle, Over
1,000,000 Russian soldiers were either killed or wounded defending their Country.
The uniform is M1943 Gymnastiorka tunic
and M1935 Sharovari trousers. Standard issue belt and M1930 ammo pouches. M1940 helmet. M1891/30 Moisin-Nagant rifle. Cloth
gasmask bag. Meshok knapsack(by this time replaced with the M1939 knapsack). Khaki Plashch-palatka tent section that was also
used as a rain cape. Square-headed entrenching tool in cloth cover. Aluminum canteen in cloth cover. M1935 Pilotka sidecap,
worn tilted to the right.
I decided against giving him Marching boots or shoulderboards, as I like this version of a
rifleman better.
